The Visorando GPS hiking app  thus offers to discover many walks and outings to do throughout France. From the quiet family walk to hiking, they are classified by difficulty and by region.

Once there, especially if you have opted for discovery and novelty, it is more practical than marking out your way with pebbles or breadcrumbs to be followed like Tom Thumb.

The Iphigenia App  avoid getting lost. Created in collaboration with the IGN (National Institute of Geographical and Forest Information), this application is as easy to use as a paper map. Good to know, it does not require that the tablet   be equipped with a GPS to operate.

The fauna and the flora

 the < clés des forêts > ( the keys into the forest) application, of the French National Forest Office, is ideal to easily recognize different tree species.

Organized into a series of more and more precise questions, this application is based on the form and layout of the leaves, which have not yet all fallen in this season.

We can also on the same principle recognize the animals from their fingerprints. It is quite convenient, since it works without a network.

Just like the above-mentionned < clés des forêts >  app,  the < Quelle est cette fleur ? > app (what is this flower? )  uses a series of questions and images to pinpoint the type of flower you may encounter along the paths. And also, it works even if the tablet  does not pick up a network.

Recognizing the trees, flowers and animals is nice, but it would be a shame to miss the many mushrooms in this season. For this, the application Champignouf  will help you recognize a mushroom from a photograph (but it requires a network).

Of course, it is out of the question to rely solely on the results given by the application if one wishes to eat these mushrooms.
