Wash more ecologically
Did you know that if we are not careful, pollution starts in the drum of our washing machine? Of course, it's impossible to do laundry without water, without electricity and without laundry detergent (even if …). But to wash your clothes more responsibly, it is sometimes enough to have the right equipment and to develop good habits!

Less often at high temperature
Favor the washing at 30 °. Today, washing machines and detergents have become more efficient, even at low temperatures. For daily "normal dirty" washes, the 30 ° program is enough. Choose a 40 ° program for textiles in direct contact with the body and 60 ° for very dirty clothes, tea towels, towels, sportswear or clothes worn by a sick person.
By washing your clothes at 60 ° C, you consume 1.3 kWh, at 40 ° C about 0.7 kWh. At 30 ° C, your consumption drops to 0.4 kWh: less electricity consumed is better for the planet and for your budget! In addition, the linen fibers are better protected with a low temperature program. Clothing retains more color and less wear on the fabric: the Thomson TW 712 washing machine wool program allows deep cleaning of delicate fibers without damaging them. There is less need to renew one’s wardrobe, which is of course more ecological, since the textile industry is among the most polluting ones!
Shorter washing cycle
In order to achieve even greater savings, it is recommended to reduce the washing time. The Thomson TW 712 washing machine benefits from a 15 minute- “Fast wash” cycle program, ideal for a small load of lightly soiled laundry or to dust off shirts that have been left in the closet for too long, as well as the “Express wash” cycle, which reduces washing time on the most used programs.
A device with an efficient spin function will allow faster drying in the open air as well as in the machine. Thomson THWD161070WH drying machine offers a variable spin speed from 0 to 1600 rpm. The spin is faster but still respects the linen. In addition, this machine has a capacity of 10kg which allows to wash at one time the laundry of the whole family: fewer wash cycles, more energy savings!
Finally, consider using European Ecolabel cleaning detergents, or make your laundry detergent yourself. There are indeed simple recipes to make them and yet very effective!
