Thomson is delighted to appear among the leaders in the 3rd edition of the After-Sales Service Barometer published by Fnac Darty and in the list of the best brands of Capital magazine.

The quality criteria attributed to electronic products are numerous. One of them is going to become more and more important for ecological reasons: it is sustainability. Indeed, electronic products will have to be part of a more sustainable economy by ensuring an extended lifespan and above all by being repairable.

 

These are the main criteria put forward by Fnac Darty, the brand itself being very involved in the repair. With the 3rd edition of the After-Sales Barometer , the Fnac Darty group is providing consumers with essential information in this matter to enable them to make the right choice. Thomson televisions appear in the LED TV category of the 2020 SAV Barometer. With a sustainability score of 100, the Thomson brand ranked in 4th position.

 

Same reliability for other Thomson products

Note that the work undertaken on the sustainability of Thomson products does not only concern televisions. In fact, in the After Sales Barometer of the Fnac Darty group, the Thomson brand also appears in 3rd position in the “under-counter refrigerators” category, and in 4th position in the “DVD players” category.

 

 

What is the “After-Sales Service Barometer”?

The “After-Sales Service Barometer” offered by Fnac Darty is above all a tool made available to consumers. It is a product information and comparison tool that allows Internet users to make the best product choice, before purchase, in terms of reliability and durability. To do this, the Fnac Darty group relies on its after-sales service, which brings together 2,000 experts who perform around 2.5 million after sales interventions each year. This represents 1.5 million repaired products and above all a very precise knowledge of the products.

 

The tool takes the rather practical form of a dynamic infographic developed by Suricats Consulting. It was designed with Harris Interactive, in partnership with ADEME, and has 63 product categories this year compared to 15 product categories last year.

Capital magazine is once again partnering with the Statista research institute to publish its exclusive list of favorite brands of home equipment. “According to a large survey, French consumers have noted the brands they prefer to equip their homes”, explains Capital magazine .

 

And this list confirms the good ranking of Thomson TVs, especially in terms of durability. In fact, Thomson TVs appears in 4th position in the “living room” category of the “Best Brands for Home” Awards. For this ranking based on some 6,500 respondents, the criteria taken into account are:  brand recommendation, product quality, design, reliability, value for money and functionality.

 

A few words on the list of the best brands

 

Capital magazine publishes in its September 2020 issue the 2nd edition of the “Best brands at home “ranking. It is based on an independent survey, conducted online by the Statista Institute. Its objective is to measure the satisfaction of French consumers vis-à-vis brands. It represents 100 categories, around 180 brands and covers 6 product families: laundry / storage, bedroom, kitchen, living room, bathroom and garden / outdoor areas.
