Telephones and connected pendant transmitters for seniors

Telephony

An increasingly connected world

With the latest progress achieved in computer technology and telephony, we are now living in an ultra-connected world. Home, car, phones, watches, speakers, televisions, appliances, all these devices and their eco-systems can now connect to each other to make our lives easier and even inform us of our physical activity. If the 15-to-60-year-old generation master these connected objects rather well, what about seniors? This technological tsunami is not so easy to handle. Fortunately, manufacturers like Thomson have developed devices specifically tailored for them.

Connected seniors

While seniors seem overwhelmed by technology, they are increasingly interested in these devices. It is especially phones and connected objects for monitoring and remote assistance that would interest them. This allows them to maintain their autonomy in a secure and connected environment. Thomson has therefore developed products adapted to this type of use, such as the Conecto range of phones associated with connected pendant transmitters. They provide both easy communication and can alert relatives in case of problems or emergency.

The connected pendant transmitter, the sure way to alert loved ones

To ensure remote monitoring and assistance of seniors, connected objects are the appropriate devices. Simple and easy to use, seniors can use them easily. This is particularly the case of Thomson Conecto Mobile ,  a pendant transmitter which can be worn around the neck or waist. It can store two phone numbers and has an emergency call button that sends the geographical location via SMS to two pre-registered contacts. Another advantage, if the person moves away from predefined areas, an alert is triggered to warn relatives. The Conecto Mobile can also be associated with a phone, if needed, and recharges thanks to its base.

The Thomson Conecto 100 pendant transmitter :

it works in combination with Conecto 200 and Conecto 300 phones. This allows you to receive calls at home at any time and also operates simply as a cordless handset. It incorporates an emergency call key and can be worn around the neck or waist. The Conecto 100 has a battery life of 5 hours calling mode, and 240 hours in standby mode and a range of 300 meters without obstacles.

Intuitive home phones with emergency call capability

Modern phones are sometimes too sophisticated for seniors (too complex setup and usage), so Thomson has developed residential phone models easy to handle for seniors. In Conecto range, there is Conecto 300 which features a cordless phone with an emergency SOS button associated with its connected pendant transmitter. Once set, the pendant transmitter is worn around the neck or belt and can call a loved one in case of emergency with its SOS button. The phone, meanwhile, has very large keys for an easy entry of numbers and also an SOS button on the back, to be used in case of emergency. Up to eight numbers can be defined. The Conecto 300 also works in hand-free mode and integrates a wide screen display for better reading. Its battery life is 4 hours in calling mode and 168 hours in standby mode.

it is a single handset that takes over the functions of the Cordless phone Conecto 300. It has the SOS button on the back, a wide screen display, as well as the very large keys and the hands-free function. Its battery life is identical to Conecto 300. Both phones models are also fully compatible with hearing aids.
