Here are five essential recipe ideas
Maybe you have taken more time to cook great meals in recent months, and with the arrival of summer, there is no reason not to keep up the momentum. If you have a blender, a food processor or an ice cream maker, or if you want to purchase it soon, you can make delicious and very refreshing desserts, and more, for the whole family! Here are five recipe ideas that have everything to become summer essentials!

Lemon thyme sorbet
Because lemon sorbet alone is ultimately not very original, lemon thyme sorbet will greatly surprise your guests at the end of a meal, while being very easy to make! For four people, you will need:
- One liter of water
- 300 grams of sugar
- A bunch of lemon thyme
- juice of a lemon
The first step is to boil the water and add the lemon thyme to it. Turn off the heat and let it steep for 10 to 15 minutes. Then filter everything. For the next step, add the 300 grams of sugar, then cook everything using a syrup scale until it reaches a temperature of 30 ° C. When it's done, all you have to do is add the lemon juice and put everything in your Thomson Sorbet & Co THIC47923 ice cream maker for 30 minutes, to have a fresh and original dessert, ready to taste!
Pear and chocolate ice cream
While we know the pear and chocolate tart, we are less familiar with ice cream, which offers the same flavor. It’s pretty easy to get, whether or not you have an ice cream maker! To succeed, and for four people, you need:
- 300 grams of peeled pears, seeded and cut into pieces
- 25 centiliters of liquid cream
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 90 grams of sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 50 grams of crushed dark chocolate
To start, put the pears, lemon juice and 45 grams of sugar in a Thomson CREA CHEF XL food processor positioned in Blender>mode, and transform them into a puree. Then, in a bowl, put the egg yolks and the rest of the sugar, except for a tablespoon which you reserve for later. Use a mixer to obtain a foamy mixture, then transfer it to the food processor and add the rest of the sugar and the liquid cream: use the whisk to transform this mixture into whipped cream.
Then mix the cream obtained with the pear puree. Once you have obtained a homogeneous result, you can add the chocolate and finish mixing by hand. When you are satisfied with the result, you can use the ice cream maker to freeze it all, or put it in a freezer compartment: allow 4 to 5 hours for the ice cream to set properly.

Vanilla milkshake
Simple and effective, the vanilla milkshake also has the advantage of being able to be made all year round. It requires very few ingredients. For four people, you will need:
- 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream
- A vanilla bean
- A liter of milk
The preparation of this recipe is particularly fast: start by splitting the vanilla pod to remove the seeds, which will be used for the preparation. In your Thomson Super Blender, pour the milk, the vanilla ice cream, then the vanilla seeds, then mix everything at low speed, to obtain a homogeneous result, but which remains thick. When this is the case, all you have to do is pour the preparation into glasses, to enjoy the freshness of the drink immediately.
Savory avocado sorbet
If guacamole is a particularly popular appetizer in summer, why not replace it with a very original alternative, namely a savory avocado sorbet? You can even add a little hot pepper sauce to the result, if you wish. To make this recipe for four people, you will need:
- One and a half avocado
- One and a half cucumber
- A small bunch of fresh coriander
- The juice of a lime
- Optionally, a jalapeno pepper or tabasco (or similar)
To start, cut the flesh of the avocados into small pieces, do the same with the cucumber after having peeled it. Put the result in your Thomson blender, add the chopped coriander and lemon juice, and blend until you get a creamy result. It is important to taste and possibly adjust the seasoning with a pinch of salt, for example, until you get a mixture to your liking. Once this is the case, pour the mixture into your ice cream maker for an hour of preparation, then transfer the result to a container and put it in the freezer at least two hours before serving. When ready to serve, you can offer a little spicy seasoning to your guests!

The cold watermelon and feta soup
Another must-have summer recipe, cold soup makes a perfect starter and is super easy to make. The cold watermelon and feta soup offers a very refreshing sweet and savory mix. To make it, you need the following ingredients:
- 1 kg of watermelon
- The juice of a lemon
- 10 basil leaves
- 250 gr of plain feta
- A pinch of salt
First, seed the watermelon and cut it into cubes, then put them in a robot in <> mode. Add 50 grams of feta cut into small pieces, the basil, lemon juice and salt, then mix everything until you get a slightly thick liquid. If necessary, you can correct this mixture with a little water. Once the result is to your liking, place it in a cool place until garnishing, which should take place a few minutes before serving. Then add the feta cut into small cubes to the cold soup, ideally served in glasses. Enjoy your meal !
